A number of Member States have introduced electronic ID card (e-ID) schemes, whilst others are planning to do so. In order to prevent these developments from creating new digital barriers across borders, a set of minimum requirements and common standards must be agreed to enable European e-ID solutions to interoperate. This conference will bring together the key players in this market to review the issues and challenges facing government industry and review the possible solutions.

Cyber Security, Safety, and Ethics Education Roundtable Series
The University Club of Washington, DC

The National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA), Cyber Security Industry Alliance and the Department of Homeland Security are hosting a roundtable series on cyber security, safety, and ethics education for students in K-12. This series will examine the importance of "cyber education" for children and young adults as we prepare them for the 21st Century Workforce. Integrating the appropriate use of technology and the Internet in K-12 classrooms and at home not only enhances academic achievement, but awareness of appropriate cyber security, safety, and ethics positions students to succeed in the workplace.

The focus of this second roundable in the series is "Providing Educators with Tools and Resources Easily Incorporated into Instructional Settings."
